What was the overall goal of the Use Case?
- Creating awareness about increasing risks of wildfires because of a sequence of years with drought periods.
- Extensive wildfires sometimes require the evacuation of citizens living in the vicinity of the fire ground.
- Behaviour appropriate to the fire risk is absolutely essential when in the forest, especially during drought.
What worked well and could be recommended to others?Good Cross-border (cross-jurisdiction / cross-country) cooperation of fire services, police and public authorities was necessary to meet the challenges related to wide spread wildfire.
What limitations were identified?Radio communication did not work well.
