FEU The FEU is the independent professional body of 24 European fire officer associations or state fire services (including UK and Norway) whose members are senior professionals that have responsibility for strategic management of the Fire and Rescue Services in their respective countries at municipal, county, regional or state level.

CTIF The Mission of International Association of Fire & Rescue Services (CTIF) is to work to better understand, and continuously improve, the working conditions for firefighters through ongoing dialogue, analysis and sharing of Lessons Learned from incidents, accidents and fires throughout the world. CTIF ensures the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of protection and rescue in case of fire or other disasters. CTIF publishes scientific research, articles and reports. EFSA The European Fire Safety Alliance is an independent alliance of fire professionals and exists to reduce the risk from fire

The European Commission Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre integrates existing scientific multi-disciplinary knowledge and co-develops innovative solutions for existing needs. Activities of the EC DRMKC support the translation of complex scientific data and analyses into usable information and provides science-based advice for DRM policies.

JOIFF International Organisation for Industrial Emergency Services Management is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to developing the knowledge, skills, understanding and competence of Emergency Services Management, primarily in High Hazard Industry, by working to improve standards of safety and of the working environment in those sectors in which its members operate. JOIFF’s prime activity is Shared Learning to drive inherent safety, continuous risk reduction and safe management of residual risk in Industry.

JOIFF deals with Fire Hazard Management. While the emphasis in fire hazard management is on prevention, protection and preparation of risk based scenarios, JOIFF members are also the first call officers / incident controllers at emergency incidents

EFSCA European Fire Service Colleges' Association groups all National fire-fighter training centres of the 27 countries of the European Community and the 4 countries of the European Trade Association. The principal aims of the Association are as follows :

1. To provide a forum for formal working relationships among the representatives of Member States of European Union, who have the authority to present the views and opinions of their colleges at national level. 2. To inform and make information available to the participating States and the European Union in matters concerning education and vocational training (with associated skills, knowledge and understanding), so as to more effectively meet the training and career development needs of personnel engaged in European Services and fire-related safety organisations. 3. To promote and assist research and development.
