IDRIM IDRiM Society is a non-profit organization named the International Society for Integrated Disaster Risk Management

The main objective of the IDRiM Society is to promote knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary research and development on integrated disaster risk management contributing to the implementation of success models for efficient and equitable disaster risk management options. Furthermore, the IDRiM Society aims at promoting knowledge transfer and dissemination of information and concepts on integrated disaster risk management.

CRED The Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED) has been active for over 40 years in the fields of international disaster and conflict health studies, with activities linking relief, rehabilitation and development. The Centre promotes research, training and technical expertise on humanitarian emergencies, particularly in public health and epidemiology.

CRED's research scope includes two main axes: natural disasters and crisis situations caused by civil strife, conflict or others. CRED studies broader aspects of humanitarian crises and emergencies, such as socio-economic, gender and environmental issues, with a strong focus on the special needs of vulnerable groups such as women and children. By providing a wealth of data on health issues arising from disasters and conflict, CRED seeks to improve needs-based preparedness and responses to humanitarian emergencies.

EGU The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is the leading organisation for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe. EGU-NH The Natural Hazards (NH) Division of the EGU covers all the geological and geophysical processes that can be hazardous and can produce damage to the environment and to the society. Therefore it is a place where scientists and researchers of various geo-disciplines meet with sociologists, economists and people responsible for territorial and urban defense and planning policies. EUGEO EUGEO is the Association of Geographical Societies in Europe. The aim of EUGEO is to represent its members at the European level and to coordinate and initiate joint activities of the members to advance research and education on the Geography of Europe and to promote the scientific discipline, the school subject and the professional practice of Geography in Europe. PSCE PSCE, the Public Safety Communications Europe Forum was established as a result of a European Commission funded project in 2008. Since then, PSCE has evolved into an independent forum, where representatives of public safety user organisations, industry and research institutes can meet to discuss and exchange ideas and best practices, develop roadmaps and improve the future of public safety communications.

PSCE is a permanent autonomous organisation, working to foster excellence in the development and use of public safety communication and information management systems by consensus building. PSCE ensures the continual improvement and evolution of public safety information and communication systems for the safety and security of our citizens

EENA - Researchers EENA, the European Emergency Number Association, is a non-governmental organisation with the mission to contribute to improving the safety and security of the people.

Part of EENA's community is the EENA Network of Researchers which is an international network of researchers in the fields of emergency communications and emergency services. It aims at fostering sharing of information and knowledge among researchers and between researchers and other EENA members from emergency services and industry. In 2019, the network gathers over 100 members!

Quora The question-and-answer network Quora conceptually is somewhere between a social network like Facebook and a knowledge forum. Users can ask and answer questions via Quora. The questions are assigned to certain categories - the users in turn register themselves as connoisseurs of certain categories. Users can rate the questions and answers posted on Quora positively or negatively. Well-rated and thus helpful Q&A threads are consequently highlighted and appear more frequently in the feeds. The comment function allows users to participate or discuss the post topics. In addition, Quora also offers an edit function that allows users to edit and thus improve third-party questions and answers. Website
